PAT JOHNSTON

Perspectives Press, Inc.: The Infertility and Adoption Publisher found Fast Print, Inc. through its publisher Pat Johnston’s volunteer work. As a member of the Junior League of Ft. Wayne, she attended a workshop on resume preparation where Dan Metzger’s card was distributed. Active in Fort Wayne’s infertility and adoption communities for several years before she began Perspectives Press in 1982, and later as the newsletter editor for Canterbury School, Pat used FP’s services through those not-for-profit organizations. She’s been a loyal customer ever since, even though Pat’s family and her company moved to Indianapolis in 1988!

It was Carolyn at Fast Print who typeset Perspectives’ first book, Perspectives on a Grafted Tree, an anthology of adoption-related poetry for which Pat was the editor, and Dawn W. at Fast Print who typeset the recent bestseller PCOS: The Hidden Epidemic by Dr. Samuel Thatcher. In between, through the publication of 40 titles and distribution of nearly 500,000 books, Fast Print has printed booklets, prepared camera-ready mechanicals for the manufacturing elsewhere of several hardcover books, designed and printed Perspectives Press’ catalogues and announcements, served as the mailing house preparing multi-piece mailings to the customer base of 22,000+, designed and prepared display ads for various magazines, and more.

Now 20 years old, Perspectives Press, Inc., (see http://www.perspectivespress.com), is an internationally respected publisher with highly regarded author-experts in its field. Pat says, ȁThe family atmosphere, personal service, patient professionalism, and community involvement and support are strong values at Fast Print, and that makes this company a strong match for my own!”
